Huzzah! Accomplishments born of all-nighters!

I finally finished my reel about a week and a half ago :D  And although I finished it, I totally forgot to share it with the rest of the world...  Ahh well, it is a mistake I'm correcting now.  For everyone who has not seen it--this is my reel: http://vimeo.com/24601054

Please take time to look at it and review it.  I appreciate all critiques and observations on it :D

That's all for now--until I have more work to share, I'm out.  Laters

Finished Drawing

I nearly forgot to post this picture here also--lol.  It's an old gaia commission that I finished and had to redraw a couple of times to get just right.  I'm pretty happy with the end result but I welcome critique about it too.

Newest WIP

So I've finally finished cleaning my drawing and much to my chagrin--It was indeed much easier than I thought it would be.  Yes, Photoshop-1, Lillian-0.  But at least it's done and now I can get down to coloring it. :) That is indeed the upside.  Yay for progress.

It's only a taste of what's going on, just basic colors for the moment but I'll clue you all in as I shade it and achieve the desired result.

And the madness begins...

Yes, it's madness I tell you, sheer and utter madness.  In response to the growing need of a place to showcase my artwork--I have finally made a blog some 3 years too late.  But better late than never and now I can build on what I have.  So, my current project is "My Haeven" a two minute animation that I'm pulling together but also with a graphic novel accompaniment.  They're both in their baby-stages, but one pointedly younger than the other.  The story is one that I've been playing around with for years and within the past two years I've buckled down an gotten serious about it--from concept to animation.  The Animated short for My Haeven is coming along with about 40 seconds done in rough animation, but I'm sorely tempted to scrap half of what I already have and reanimate it--it looks fine as is but I know that it can look a lot better.

The graphic novel is in it's infantile stages at best as I'm just drawing the first few pages.  Further along is an inking that's kind of filling in the space of conceptual artwork.  The line drawing is going to be the face of my animation and graphic novel in a lot of ways so I want it to look really good--but I'm the kind of person to get a bit caught up in silly tasks and what-not so... It's proving to be an interesting journey :p

Fun times indeed are before me.  But the more I settle into this site, the more I'll share and post.  Happy sailing and fair weather in the future :D
